| Cost - Power Brake Booster Installation |
| |
A power brake booster is a great upgrade from manual brakes. This allows you to stop
with more control and in a shorter distance. There are no real hidden costs with this upgrade. There are some couplers
that may be required if you are not planning on swapping out the brake lines for the correct size for the power size
brake master cylinder, but that is about it.
This job can be completed with basic hand tools. If you opt for the brake line upgrade as I did, you might want to
consider buying specialty wrenches that grab on 3 sides instead of 2 so you don't strip the brake line ends.

The total time should be around 3 hours all said and done. That being said,
I didn't include the brake bleeding in this because I hadn't finished the rear brake upgrade yet and the total
bleeding process didn't occur until later in the build.
You will need some brake fluid and possibly couplers as part of this build-up. Don't skimp out here since it doesn't
cost a lot of money and I don't know about you but my braking is worth the extra money to do it right.
