Cost - Poison Spyder Rocker Knockers Installation

When I got the Jeep, the stock rocker guards were on the Jeep. These came off quickly, but the area underneath was full of holes and dents. Because I was knew to the Jeep game, I decided on some aluminum diamond plate to cover up the area and give the Jeep a clean look.

The parts were ordered up from Poison Spyder Customs as they were the manufacturers of the rocker protection that I wanted. In a few days the parts arrived in 3 separate boxes and we were able to start getting them ready to assemble and install.

Cost

$4.98
  $362.02

Total Time: 4 Hours

NOTE: This has to be broken down into pre-fitting time and then time to get paint on the rocker knockers as well as cleaning up the sides of the Jeep if they need body work and paint, especially if you had rockers on their before. It took about 2 hours of test fitting and drilling to get the rocker knockers on the Jeep. It took about 2 more hours of prepping the rocker knockers for paint and waiting for it to dry so they could be assembled.

Cost - Offset

To offset the cost of the buildup, I sold off the aluminum diamond plate rockers that were installed on the Jeep in the beginning of the build-up. There weren't really any more parts that could be sold during the build-up of this section.

Conclusions

The total time should be around 4 hours all said and done for installation. That being said, some time was spent fitting to get everything to line up right. You might get lucky and have everything go smoother then I did. I also spent a lot of time researching all the possibilities for rocker protection as well.

A second pair of hands is almost essential on this installation, which never hurts, unless you want to use a jack or straps to help hold it in place.
