Cost - Painless Wiring Upgrade

A new wiring system for your Jeep is an upgrade that will pay itself back ten
fold when you are out on the trail or driving the Jeep at night.
The wiring upgrade contains some hidden costs as well as some costs that are pretty evident. These costs are
hidden in the fact that to do this right, it will require you to get some tools and parts that aren't included
with the kit.
The actual cost will reflect the fact that you need some specialty wiring tools. The tools that you will
need to complete the project are crimpers, strippers, soldering iron, wiring connector assortment kit, and
finally a good multimeter.

Cost - Offset

| To offset the cost of the buildup, I sold off the old wiring setup after I had
scavenged it for the parts I needed to finish the buildup. I was surprised that someone wanted it for $40.00.

Conclusions

The total time should be around 20 hours all said and done. That being said,
I spent a lot of time trying to lay out the wires as I wanted and make sure that the connections were exactly
the way I wanted them to be. It can take longer if you want to waterproof the connections as well.
As you can see, the offset of the nearly $40.00 for selling the old wiring harness helped with the project slightly. Keep
in mind that you will need time to call customer service if this doesn't work out for you the way you expect it
to. They are only open during the week, so factor that in as well. All this said and done can be had for around
$500.00 or less depending on what you replace with new parts. It is up to you and what you decide.
