Hints - Stainless Steel Bolt Kit Installation

NOTE: Admission by Jen Schaub.

One of the nicest and best things that you can do to dress up the Jeep, add some strength, and save your sanity is to buy a kit from Quadratec (part# 13019 102). This is not cheap at $185.00, however, it has all the bolts that you will need to do your restoration in the complete Stainless Steel Body Kit from Totally Stainless.

What this kit includes is a button head stainless body hardware, which includes 632 pieces for $184.95. The materials are high quality and look nice. To do this late in the game is not the route that was taken on the first project Jeep, but it was done this way on the second Jeep. The buildup was already underway with upgrades and at this point, in order to use some of the pieces, it was required that some of the work had to be unbolted and re-bolted back into place. If the kit was bought in the beginning, some time could have been saved by my dad telling me I should be in the kitchen doing dishes only made replacing the hardware more time consuming. Having the hex ratcheting socket attachments (Craftsman) are helpful for easy installation. There will be a bunch of hardware that won't be used (tailgate, rear bumper hardware, etc) and will keep for spares. Installing this hardware kit offers some peace of mind - not having to worry about any rusting bolts.
